Projects Updates

St. Francis Projects Update
Due to generous benefactors and continued sacrificial stewardship from you, our parishioners, we have been able to make significant improvements to our facilities in the past 18 months.
The following are improvements that have been completed: Finalization of the new Marquee sign on 8th Avenue, new accessible parking and sidewalk ramps in the South Parking Lot from 19th street to the church, reseal and re-striping of the South Parking Lot, a new sound system and microphones in the church, upgraded kneelers in the church pews, new cushions for the church pew seating, renovation of the building on 8th avenue to serve as the hub for St. Vincent de Paul, the St. Francis Food Pantry and the Knights of Columbus, new carpet in the school classrooms, refurbishing the center entry doors of the church and repair of dilapidated wall panels on the West entry of the church.
The following are projects near completion and in progress: The structural repair and cosmetic enhancement of the East and West breezeway columns, refurbishing of chairs in the chapel, completion of the house across from the school that will become the new home of our priests in the next several weeks and development of our memorial garden on the East side of the church with curbing being installed to contain memorial pavers available to the parishioners, railings, pergolas, plants, benches and other enhancements are ordered and in the works for this area as well as further landscape development to the South side of the property.
Additionally, we are working on the preliminary designs of renovating the parish hall and design and development of new evangelization space for retreats, parish offices, a school gymnasium and cafeteria, and solar panels in the parking lots.  We will be calling upon you to assist in the design and development of these facilities to ensure they are meeting the needs of the entire community.
Maintaining a campus the size of St. Francis takes an incredible amount of resources.  Planning and coordinating can be painstakingly slow at times due to many factors so we are grateful for not only your generosity, but also your support and patience.  We continue to listen and seek to answer God’s call to provide the facilities needed to fulfill the mission He gave to us all.  The mission of Evangelization.
May God continue to bless the parishioners of St. Francis of Assisi.
On behalf of our Pastor, Fr. Emilio.

We ask that you prayerfully review your monthly expenditures for the many subscriptions, memberships, entertainment and leisure we may have and consider whether a minimum $5 per week or $25 per month contribution to the parish is possible to help us fulfill the mission Christ has called us to.
